Installed and kept up to date by the App Store, like any other Mac app. No NDI output - Apple does not allow it for App Store apps.

Everything except NDI is identical between the two editions. Both are signed and checked by Apple, so macOS opens either without a security warning. The App Store version runs inside Apple's sandbox - a set of restrictions Apple requires of App Store apps, which is why NDI output cannot be included there. It makes no difference to anything else in the list above.
