Data not collected.
StudioClock collects no data. There are no accounts, no sign-in, no analytics and no cloud dependency for the app to function.
Shows are saved as portable .studioclock files on your own Mac. Any secrets, such as a LAN viewer passcode, stay in the macOS Keychain.
The only outbound network traffic the clock itself needs is the NTP exchange with the time source you choose. The embedded web server serves your own LAN; the viewer is read-only and cannot control the show.
A diagnostics export is produced only when you ask for it, and is redacted before it is written: logo image bytes are stripped and passcodes are reported only as "set" or "not set".

Information we collect
None. StudioClock does not collect or receive any personal information about you. There are no user accounts and no sign-in, and no feature of the app requires one. We operate no servers that receive your data. The app contains no analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising and no third-party tracking SDKs of any kind.
Information stored on your device
Your work stays on your own Mac. Show files, display layouts, clock face choices, countdown settings and application preferences are stored locally. Shows are saved as portable files that you can move, share or delete as you wish. None of it is transmitted to us, and none of it leaves your machine except where you choose to share a file yourself.
Network access
StudioClock does make network connections, and it is worth being precise about what they are. It never sends your information to us or to any third party.
- Time synchronisation. The app queries an NTP time server to keep accurate time. You may select a server from the built-in list or enter your own. An NTP query asks the server what the time is. It carries no personal information and no identifier beyond the network address your connection already reveals to any site you visit. This is the only connection the app makes beyond your local network.
- The LAN viewer. You may switch on a read-only web page that lets other devices on the same network see the same clock in a browser. When enabled, your Mac serves this page over HTTP on your local network and advertises it using Bonjour. The page is read-only: nothing on it can control the app or change its state. It is reachable only by devices on your network, and it is served by your Mac rather than by us.
- Control protocols. The app can send and receive OSC messages, and receive TSL UMD tally messages, so that control surfaces and vision mixers on your network can drive the clock or react to it. This traffic stays on your local network and goes only to and from equipment you have chosen to connect.
macOS will ask your permission for local network access the first time you use the LAN viewer or the control protocols. You may decline, in which case those features simply do not connect. The clock itself continues to work.
Third parties
StudioClock does not share data with third parties, because it does not collect any. The time server you select is operated by whoever provides it, and receives nothing from you beyond an ordinary request for the current time.
This website
This site is static. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics and embeds nothing from a third party: the typeface and every script it uses are served from this domain. The contact form is the one exception, and it posts to Web3Forms only at the moment you choose to submit it.
Children's privacy
StudioClock is a professional broadcast and live production tool and is not directed at children. Because it collects no personal information from anyone, it collects none from children.
Data security
Because your data stays on your own device and is never transmitted to us, there is no personal data held by us that could be exposed. Protecting the files on your Mac is handled by macOS and by your own security practices. If you enable the LAN viewer, treat it as you would any other screen in the building: anyone who can reach your network can see the clock, though they cannot control it.
Your rights
Privacy regulations such as the UK GDPR, EU GDPR and CCPA give you rights to access, correct or delete personal data a company holds about you. We hold no personal data about you, so there is nothing for us to provide or delete. Anything created in the app is already in your sole possession on your device.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a revised effective date. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
